Ranavat is a botanical skincare line that’s Ayurveda-based and science-led. Founded by Indian American Michelle Ranavat, the popular brand graces Sephora’s aisles and has amassed a cult following thanks to its luxurious aesthetic and sophisticated formulas inspired by ancient Indian rituals.
The Ranavat Cream Cleanser is for those who don’t usually enjoy, or maybe even considered, cream cleansers. It’s a cream-t0-milk cleanser that has a silky thin consistency that feels like gel-cream hybrid. With water it gently emulsifies.
The star ingredient is manjistha, an Ayurvedic herb known as “the apex of superfoods” for its ability to cleanse and remove impurities from the skin’s surface.
There’s also organic sesame oil to help melt makeup off and rose essential oil for the scent. The simple ingredients list is acne skin friendly and pregnancy friendly.
Ranavat’s Cream Cleanser is ultra smooth and silky and rinses away easily. I don’t feel like it’s as heavy duty as my cleansing oils and cleansing balms that are much richer, but if I’m not wearing much makeup this is adequate.
