In today’s article, I’m sharing the best natural leave in conditioners that I use almost daily to keep hair frizz free and nourished. If you think of all the heat styling, pollution, tying and box dye jobs your hair has endured, a quality clean leave-in conditioner is practically a necessity. With a few spritzes, a natural leave-in conditioner adds moisture to dry hair using humectants, to draw moisture into the hair shaft and emollients to deeply moisturize. Keep on reading for the best natural and clean leave in conditioners that will have your hair looking shinier, smoother AND healthier.

Innersense Sweet Spirit Leave In Conditioner
The Innersense Leave In Conditioner is one of my top favorite organic leave in conditioners that’s perfect for fine hair. This lightweight mist not only really hydrates my hair, it also comes in a huge bottle that lasts twice as long as other products. I enjoy Innersense’s sweet herbaceous floral scent and the certified organic plant extracts.
Vegamour HYDR-8 Leave In Conditioner
Vegamour’s leave in conditioner is one my top new product discoveries of 2023. This is a slightly more emollient mist that works well for dry hair and works double duty as a heat protectant (up to 450°F*). It’s got Karmatin, a vegan keratin alternative that works to strengthen and repair damaged hair, along with mushroom extract and an amino acid blend. Note that it has a very strong scent that’s a bit overpowering.
Rahua Hydration Detangler
Rahua’s leave-in detangler is a very creamy conditioning mist that tames my hair even in its unruliest state. It’s got a strong tropical floral scent but works so well. This keeps hair healthy and strong thanks to its organic, natural, pure plant derived ingredients.
Evolvh SmartStart Leave In Conditioner
I’ve used the Evolvh SmartStart Leave In Conditioner for the longest time and find this lightweight mist to be great for fine hair. The formula is truly clean with plenty of organic plant extracts and oils like rice bran extract and black cumin seed oil. This is great at hydrating hair and keeping it healthy in between washes.
Briogeo Moisture + Damage Defense Leave-In Treatment
I love the Briogeo Moisture + Damage Defense Leave In Treatment when I want a hydrating serum that I can really work through my hair with my hands. It has biomimetic lipids and a lightweight serum consistency that’s easily absorbed. I find that Briogeo’s pumps aren’t the highest quality, but they get the job done.
John Masters Leave In Conditioning Mist
The John Masters Leave-in Conditioning Mist is one of the finest mists ever, so this would be great for super fine hair. It’s loaded with green tea and calendula and over 70% organic ingredients like Broccoli Seed Oil and Hydrolyzed Barley Protein to really keep hair healthy. The scent is so calming and therapeutic.
Augustinus Bader The Leave In Hair Treatment
If you’re looking for a luxury clean leave-in conditioner that works as a deep treatment, I recommend the Augustinus Bader The Leave In Hair Treatment. This has got some highly advanced actives beyond just plant ingredients and it’s completely unscented. I like the super lightweight serum consistency that absorbs instantly and doesn’t weight down fine hair. Put this in damp hair and your hair will dry smoother. You can check out my full Augustinus Bader review here.
Naturtint CC Leave In Treatment
If you’re on a tight budget, I would recommend the Naturtint CC Leave In Treatment since it’s under $18. This is a very lightweight serum made with 96% naturally derived ingredients and no silicones. It’s got Baobab Seed Protein, Organic Pea Protein and Organic Moringa Seed Extract to nourish hair and the natural fragrance is floral and not overpowering.
