Consistency is my mantra for this year, so I’m back on the blog again with some clean beauty (and other) gems I’m enjoying this month! I want to show things you guys haven’t seen yet on my social media to keep things fun and interesting. I recently got sucked (or suckered) into making my own collagen gummies and now I can’t stop making different renditions of them. First it was muscle tension, and now I’ve also gotten weirdly obsessed with lymphatic drainage (anyone?). Anywaaays, let’s get right into it.

I’ve been learning about all the different points on the body you want to massage to help boost your body’s lymphatic drainage, and I love using this drainage-specific cream from Rowe Casa Organics. I enjoy the novelty of it too since I’ve never tried a lymphatic cream before. It’s a really large 9 oz jar and the texture is super thick and buttery with a slight whipped quality to it. The smell is quite herbal to me but thankfully it’s not too strong. It’s got a raw shea butter and organic safflower oil base and has a blend of essential oils that are supposed to help with lymph fluid drainage.

I’m not a huge fan of liquid blushes, but this creamy liquid blush in Baby is THE perfect cool pink shade I’ve been looking for all my life. I don’t know why these kinds of shades are so few and far between when they’re sooo flattering. My complexion just looks fresher, brighter and more vibrant when I wear this shade versus a nude, coral or berry. It’s not insanely pigmented so the default look is subtle and natural-looking.

I currently have a fresh batch of homemade collagen gummies I’m waiting to finish cooling down in the fridge. It’s stupid easy to make. I use grass-fed gelatin with type 1 and 3 collagen and add in skincare superfoods like pomegranate juice, sea moss gel or chlorophyll drops to give them a boost in nutrients. It’s the perfect cost-effective way to make healthy candy!

I’m currently tweaking my recipe to get it just how I like it. The amount of gelatin you use changes how dense or light the jelly is.

I love that founders of beloved green beauty brands are leaning into their own and putting more of their heartfelt creations out into the world. Currently I’m reading Ground & Be Free by Mahalo Skincare’s founder Merina and it’s so good if you’ve experienced any kind of trauma or want to learn tools for finding inner peace. Another book with a similar message I’m reading is Peace is Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hanh, which is also very enlightening. Both are super short and easy reads!

YINA’s natural lip balm-treatment is really really good and so underhyped. It’s a cushiony light salve that feels like a pillow of moisture on the lips. I find the formula and texture super unique. It sinks deeply in and leaves a lasting hydrating effect. When the butters and oils-only balms aren’t cutting it for me, I alternate with this lip treatment which has got TCM plants like Lotus Leaf extract, Schisandra Berries, ginseng, adaptogens, and peptides.

I actually rarely ever used dry shampoo. I just don’t believe it’s good for my scalp health and not worth clogging up my follicles..like I’d rather just hide greasy hair with a hat. But every so often, I do find it useful, especially now that I’m working out regularly and sweating a lot more. This little bottle is so easy to use and I love the smell and natural ingredients. There’s no benzene or talc. Instead, it absorbs oil through Irish sea moss powder, kaolin clay, organic tapioca starch and organic rice powder.

Who knew soap could be a design statement in my bathroom. This is my first time using a sphere soap instead of a bar. As I use it up it just turns into a cuter, smaller sphere versus a ugly rounder rectangular. I love how decadent and high quality Summer Solace Tallow’s soaps are. They’ve got a lot of varietals but I have the Gardeners Charcoal Tallow Soap. It’s just pure tallow, olive oil, organic calendula, Celtic sea salt, A2/A2 Regenerative Dairy, Organic Rose and Orange Blossom hydrosols, organic activated charcoal and essential oils – nothing else.

You know those glossing oils you use as a finish for extra shiny hair? I used to use the Fekkai one. This achieves the same effect without any silicones. It’s a suuuuper thin, liquid-like oil that’s also dry. Keep in mind this isn’t a scalp oil. It’s only meant for the mid to ends of your hair. There’s some good ingredients like Vitamin C oil, chia seed, sacha inchi, and marula oil. The smell isn’t entirely natural, but it’s intoxicating and not overly synthetic. I cannot stop smelling and it should really be bottled into a clean perfume.
