Violette FR is a skincare and makeup brand founded by Violette Serrat, a renowned makeup artist who is the Creative Director of Makeup for Guerlain and former Global Beauty Director for Estée Lauder. Violette FR is a unique fusion of French glamour and New York’s eclectic style. The brand’s key promise is to deliver high-quality, easily applicable, and versatile beauty solutions that enhance natural beauty. The brand focuses on providing products that can be integrated into daily routines effortlessly and glorify the concept of ‘less is more’. Violette FR is vegan, cruelty free and cleaner than most conventional beauty.
Violette Boum Boum Milk
I was asked to test out the Violette Boum Boum Milk and while I think this is a thoughtfully formulated and interesting toner spray, I do think it’s quite pricey for what it is. There are plenty of K-beauty toners with similar ingredients list that cost a fraction of Boum Boum Milk’s $64.
The formula starts off with water, which will make up for at least 70% and up to 90% of the entire formula and the packaging is not glass. So for these reasons, I find Boum Boum Milk ovepriced. Funnily enough, I gawked I read the Founder’s Note on the product page, where Boum Boum Milk is described as affordable. Tell me someone is part of a different social class without telling me. I may never need to pay for my own beauty products, but I know that the majority of people would consider $64 an *exorbitant* expense for a face mist, which isn’t the most necessary step in a skincare routine. This signifies to me that Violette FR is targeted to the upper middle class and upper class.
Boum Boum Milk is described as a “3-in-1 spray is a toner, serum, and moisturizer in a bottle.” I can’t really see this as being interchangeable for a serum or a moisturizer. It is at most an essence and a toner in one.
Violette’s Boum Boum Milk does have a chic aesthetic even though it’s not a glass bottle. If you enjoy a creamy, milky facial spray, you’ll probably enjoy Boum Boum Milk. Its star ingredients are:
