Lavanila has been around a verrry long time, nearly 20 years, and is among the first natural deodorant brands to appear on the market long before clean deodorants became trendy. As you can guess, the main focus of the brand is vanilla and every product is centered around the scent of vanilla.
Their fragrance is LAVANlLA‘s signature blend of pure essential oils, nature identical oils. and botanically derived aromas. This means the scent is not all natural and does contain some synthetic compounds.
I tried the Lavanila full size and travel size and found the consistency somewhat different from one another. Both have a dense, solid creamy consistency but the travel size felt much drier than the full size. It doesn’t glide on as easily as the full size.
The travel size was pretty crumbly and dry.
In a world of $25 clean deodorants, Lavanila remains somewhat affordable at $12.
Here’s the full ingredients:

As a vanilla lover I enjoyed all the various iterations of vanilla I tried from the Lavanila line – Vanilla Grapefruit, Vanilla Eucalyptus, etc.
Performance: I find it effective at fighting odor. It is not an antiperspirant so will not keep pits dry.
I also have their Pure Vanilla perfume, which isn’t an olfactory masterpiece, but is super simple and works great for perfume layering with my more complex clean perfumes. It’s a soft, clean and slightly powdery vanilla that’s light. This is not a deep or intensely warm vanilla.
