I’ve tried dozens of non toxic blushes from so many clean makeup brands over the years, and I finally created a guide to the absolute best. The cleanest blush will be free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, talc, petroleum derived ingredients, PEGs, mineral oil, BHT and silicones.
The best blush is made with natural and organic ingredients, are high-performance and look beautiful on all skin tones. I’m also sharing the shades I reach for regularly!

I tried Merit Flush Balm (best value!)
My latest go-to blush is Merit’s Flush Balm in the shade Stockholm. It’s a creamy blush that applies and blends in soo easily. The pigmentation is natural-looking but impactful and it feels lightweight and breathable on my skin. I can see why so many people are obsessed with this product. I love the shade Stockholm because it’s this soft baby pink that’s perfect for everyday wear and super flattering on all skin tones. It doesn’t really have any skin nourishing ingredients, but I do like that they offer affordable luxury. The packaging is so chic and they offer the best value for money compared to other clean blushes.
Price: $30 for 9g
Key ingredients: Vitamin E
Finish: Natural
100% natural: No

I tried Kjaer Weis Cream Blush (luxe!)
Kjaer Weis’ cream blush is one of my OG faves and a fantastic organic blush for mature skin and luxury lovers. The ingredients are super clean with certified organic sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, rosehip oil and beeswax. Their shade Happy is one of my all-time favorite blushes in clean beauty so far. It’s this bright pop of pink that isn’t too bright and leans cool toned. I also love that it feels creamy but doesn’t lean overly creamy – it’s more of a dry creamy if that makes sense. I really only need to use a small amount and I get amazing color payoff.

Price: $32 for 3g
Key ingredients: organic sweet almond oil, jojoba seed oil, rosehip oil and beeswax
Finish: Natural semi-matte
100% natural: Almost, but certain shades contain artificial dyes

I tried Saie Beauty Dew Blush
When I first tried Saie Beauty’s Dew Blush, I was surprised to find that it’s actually more of a cream than a true liquid that reminds me of Glossier Cloud Paint. I love that it has a matte finish! I do find the color payoff is light, but it does stay on pretty well throughout the day. Their shade Baby is THE perfect cool toned baby pink hands down. Dew Blush is vegan, silicone-free and fragrance-free and has got plant-based glycerin, elderberry fruit extract and licorice root extract to feed skin with antioxidants. I’m obsessed with the shade Baby and wish they would make it in powder form.

Price: $25 for 11.34g
Key ingredients: glycerin, elderberry fruit extract and licorice root extract
Finish: Matte
100% natural: No

I tried Araza Mango Cream Color Pot (98% organic)
This is the healthiest blush in clean beauty I’ve found. What I love about Araza Beauty is they’re not just one of the cleanest organic makeup brands on the market, they also focus on high fat ingredients that heal skin. Their cream blush is 98% organic with ingredients like Certified Organic Watermelon Seed Oil, Araza Fruit, Potato Starch and Mango Butter. It’s one of the few blushes that can actually improve skin and deeply nourish dry skin while still performing like makeup should. I’m amazed by how well this applies and blends – it almost feels like an advanced cream to powder formula. I find their shade Fresh Pink to be a soft coral pink that looks so flattering. The color payoff is light but very buildable. I just wish they offered more shades!
Price: $28 for 5g

I tried Ere Perez beetroot cheek & lip tint
This is the closest dupe to my old favorite Benefit Benetint! Ere Perez’s liquid blush is a natural stain blush that gives a flushed look, like I just came back from skiing. It works for both lips and cheeks, but I prefer to use it on my cheeks. I love that the ingredients are super simple and fortified with beetroot, rosehip extract and blue agave nectar to nourish skin naturally. The shade Fun is a super bright fuchsia pink and I only need to use a tiny amount to achieve a flushed look.
Price: $30 for 4.5g
Key ingredients: Vitamin E, beetroot, rosehip extract
Finish: Natural flush
100% natural: Almost, but contains chemical preservative

I tried Axiology Color Cream Multi-stick (zero waste!)
I love this zero waste clean makeup brand so much and care deeply about what they stand for. This nontoxic blush is entirely plastic free, zero waste, vegan, cruelty free and palm oil free. It’s made with just 10 plant derived ingredients like certified organic coconut oil, avocado oil, castor seed oil, and neem seed oil. Identity is a gorgeous fuchsia pink. The color payoff is amazing and I only need to use one swipe. I find that it glides on effortlessly and requires little effort to blend. The tube might look small, but it’s actually the exact amount of product used in all the other blushes on the market. Instead of contributing to plastic waste, Axiology is packaged in compostable materials.
Price: $28 for 4.5g
Key ingredients: certified organic coconut oil, avocado oil, castor seed oil, and neem seed oil
Finish: Natural semi-matte

I tried Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick
Overall, I find this to be a creamy and moisturizing blush with a lovely natural looking finish and decent color payoff that lasts throughout the day. Coquette is a very soft peachy pink that leans more pink than peach. It’s versatile and I find that it works great as both a lip product and blush. I love that it has raspberry leaf stem cell extract, jojoba oil, and Vitamins C and E. My only complaint is there’s a few iffy ingredients like alumina and lake dyes.
Price: $48 for 6g
Key ingredients: raspberry leaf stem cell extract, jojoba oil, and Vitamins C and E
Finish: Natural
100% natural: No

I tried ILIA Multi-stick Cream Blush
ILIA’s multi stick is so versatile and is one of the few cream blushes that work just as well for lips as it does for cheeks. It’s extremely creamy and nourishing with a buttery base of cocoa seed butter, sunflower seed oil and castor seed oil. I find that it does give a dewy finish and is more suited to dry skin types. Tenderly is a soft petal pink that’s great as an everyday blush.
Price: $36 for 4.5g
Key ingredients: cocoa seed butter, sunflower seed oil, castor seed oil
Finish: Satin dewy
100% natural: Almost, but contains artificial dyes
