I tested Cipher Skincare’s multifunctional streamlined products and feel like Cipher is a skincare nerd’s dream come true. Each product is an intensive skin treatment formulated to target multiple skin concerns simultaneously. Cipher’s formulas are so innovative and absolutely packed with high-tech, interesting actives. I have to say these products are very pricey, so I’d only recommend these if you have no budget and are looking for something extra innovative. Keep reading for my honest Cipher skincare review!
Cipher uses a holistic, intentional ( and no nonsense) approach to formulating and combines innovations in dermal science + biotechnology to create versatile products.
The entire line features six products and each features multi-pathway targeted systems featuring synergistic blends of clinically proven actives. It’s then enhanced with plant extracts and oils, so you get the best of both worlds.
Cipher claims each product provides the results of 10 products. I would describe their formulas as intelligent, elegant, multi-talented and kinda nerdy.
I tested the Night Shift Holistic Tone Balancing Treatment which focuses on holistic revitalization, strengthening skin, reducing redness and building skin’s resilience.
It’s all about making skin stronger and healthier through an arsenal of potent actives like: dna repair enzymes, potassium azeloyl diglycinate, alpha arbutin, niacinamide, glabridin, glycyrrhizinic acid, açaí + hemp seed, madecassoside, xylitylglucoside hydration complex, prebiotic microalgae, beta glucan, panthenol, palmitoyl tripeptide-38.
This milky serum has a silky texture and hydrating consistency. My skin seems to look more supple, vibrant and even toned when using this serum.
The Cipher 88 mph is a highly unusual product that I’ve never encountered before. It’s called a Short Contact Remodelling Balm and is a short-contact intensive retinoid treatment. It’s a mouthful, but what this basically means is that the balm works intensely in just a few minutes like a treatment mask.
To accomplish this, the Cipher 88 mph uses an active-in-lipid matrix system optimizes instantaneous delivery. There’s a large dose of liposomkl retinol along with: salicylic acid, ectoin, potassium azeloyl diglycinate, stearyl glycyrrhetinate, ceramides, hyperforin, phospholipids, undecylenoyl phenylalanine, madecassoside, ximenynic acid, tripeptide-29 and panthenol.
This is a very strong skincare treatment that I can feel working on my skin. The brand instructs you to massage the product in for 30 seconds and leave it on for 90 seconds for a total of 2 minutes on your skin total. You can gradually work up to 15 minutes. I find that my skin does fine with 15 minutes with no irritation from the retinal and combination of other actives.
Cipher 88 is a restorative treatment that provides overall skin rejuvenation. I like using this treatment once per week. My skin looks smoother and clearer after leaving it on for 15 minutes.
