I tried a bunch of Innbeauty Project skincare and am sharing my review of their Extreme Cream Moisturizer, Bright & Tight Eye Cream, Slushy Serum Moisturizer, Mineral Sun Glow, Pimple Paste, Face Glaze, Lip Oil and Sun Balm SPF 30 and Power Up Mist.
I tried Extreme Cream Firming & Lifting Moisturizer
I was pleasantly surprised by this clean and refillable moisturizer! It’s got a super creamy , luxurious consistency and feels moisturizing. It’s also fragrance-free, hypoallergenic tested and safe for sensitive skin. I love that it’s heavy duty enough for anti-aging with three types of ceramides, bio-retinol and peptides. One thing to note is the refillable bottle is super heavy and large and not travel-friendly.
My skin feels super soft after using this and well moisturized. I appreciate how reasonable the price is too at $48 and $40 for just the refill.
I tried Bright & Tight Eye Cream
This is one of my new favorite clean eye creams of the year! It’s got plenty of actives that are needed to make an eye cream actually worth buying like Peptides, vitamin C, tranexamic acid & caffeine. This instantly depuffs, hydrates and brightens my undereyes AND is an excellent eye primer to boot! It’s got a creamy medium-level consistency that sinks in easily.
I tried Mineral Sun Glow
I really like how this mineral tinted sunscreen feels and applies, but I just didn’t like the packaging. I love that it has over 14% non nano zinc oxide to protect against UVA, UVB, and blue light along with oil-soluble Vitamin C, Black, Red, & Brown Rice Extract and Natural Moisturizing Factors. This sunscreen feels light yet moisturizing and leaves a natural to satin finish while subtly blurring imperfections. It comes in just two shades. The reason I don’t like the packaging is that it has an unusual oblong shape and awkward lid that’s constantly falling off.
I tried Sun Balm SPF 30
I tested their new mineral lip balm with SPF 30 made with 13.5% Non-nano Zinc Oxide, mango butter, Shea butter and Squalane oil. I’m wearing the shade Latte in the photo. It’s semi sheer, decently pigmented and feels moisturizing but also kind of heavy and creamy/waxy. It’s got a thicker consistency that I feel is a hit or miss depending on the person. The upside of this is that it provides long lasting moisture. But it feels like something is perpetually sitting on my lips and I can feel a slight cooling sensation. I can see this being a love it or hate it type of lip product!
I tried Innbeauty Project Pimple Paste
I think this is an underrated acne spot treatment that works so well on my pesky breakouts! It feels like toothpaste (who else is guilty of using this as a teen?!) and has a drying effect. It’s gotWillow Bark, Sulfur, Tea Tree Oil, Azelaic Acid, Clay, Zinc, Oregano, & Thyme that work overnight.
I like that it’s alcohol free and dries completely so it doesn’t transfer onto pillows at night. It really works to calm inflammation down and speed up the healing process too. Soon after applying I feel a burning sensation until it dries, or I fall asleep, whichever comes first. By the next morning it’s completely dried down and comes off with some warm water.
I tried Innbeauty Project Lip Glaze
The Innbeauty Project Lip Glazes are called lip oils but they feel more like very thick, borderline sticky lip glosses. The applicator tip is larger, flatter and rounder than your typical lip gloss applicator. Like the name suggests, these lip oils really do give your lips a super slick, glazed look.
I love how hydrated they make my lips feel AND look and are exactly what I’ve been looking for in a product for many years. Gen Z and I clearly want the same things in life. My favorite is Lip Glaze #3 Frose because I love a sparkly baby pink. I only wish they made these bottles bigger so they’d last longer!
Each Innbeauty Project Lip Glaze is numbered in the order they were created, and as of writing this post I believe they have six lip glazes now. Each Lip Glaze is naturally colored, naturally flavored and naturally sweetened with a hint of stevia.
I tried Innbeauty Project Slushy Serum Moisturizer Crush
This is a gentle retinol alternative product with Bakuchiol that feels as light as a serum and even lighter than a gel moisturizer.
One thing I immediately noticed when looking at the ingredients list, is Dimethicone is the 2nd ingredient in the list. Right off the bat I can say that I am not a fan of the formulation as dimethicone can cause reactions for many people, and it’s also so high on the list and not towards the bottom.
I also didn’t like the consistency. While it’s thin and lightweight, it turns into liquid once applied. There’s absolutely no viscosity to it. I know this is one of Innbeauty Project’s most popular and beloved products, but it’s just not my cup of tea personally.
I tried Face Glaze
I think this is a wonderful illuminator that acts as a skincare first and makeup second!
It feels hydrating and has a wonderfully whipped and smooth texture that sinks into skin seamlessly and gives skin a subtle lit from within glow. Don’t expect any sort of coverage with this product though. I like how versatile this product is – I can use it on its own or mix it into my foundation.
Plus I love knowing it’s nourishing my skin with Kakadu Plum, Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, Squalane and Watermelon Extract.
The Face Glaze Bronze has the exact same consistency but with a bronze tint to warm up the complexion. I feel it has just the right amount of pearlescent shimmer and a super natural looking sun kissed tint.
I tried Power Up Face Mist
The Innbeauty Project Power Up 3-in-1 Face Mist is a mist, toner and setting spray in one. It kind of reminds me of a Powerade but as a face mist. I was not expecting it to have interesting ingredients like:
- Moringa seed & ginger root oil
- Electrolytes: revives and recharges dull & tired skin
- Eggplant: full of antioxidants and gives the mista natural blue hue
It has an herbaceous scent and works great to hydrate and refresh skin throughout the day or as a toner step after cleansing. I wouldn’t really consider it a makeup setting spray.
