My No-Nonsense Review of 8 YINA Products

I’ve been a big fan of this clean skincare brand since their early days and am excited to share my honest review of all the products I’ve tried. I tried YINA’s sheet masks (incredible!), Anti-Pollution Mask, Hydracloud Cream, Essential Mist, Bian Gua Sha stone, Décolletage Treatment, Bath Ritual Japanese Mugwort and Collagen Gummies. If you’re looking for a luxury organic skincare line rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (and enhanced by green science) look no further than YINA.

About YINA

Based in California, YINA was founded by Licensed Acupuncturist and formulator Angela Chau and Dr. Ervina Wu, a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and registered TCM Dermatologist. We even worked together on a Beat Face Oils for Gua Sha article. They blend ancient Traditional Chinese medicinal plants with the most luxurious, artisanal and advanced formulas that are vegan, organic and cruelty-free.

I tried YINA Divine Bio Cellulose Sheet Mask

I am not even exaggerating, this is the holy grail of organic sheet masks! The quality, the efficacy, the ingredients are just top-tier. The material and essence of this sheet mask is la creme de la creme, and treating myself to this pricey $20 mask is a thoroughly satisfying indulgence.

Yina sheet mask

YINA masks are a magical experience that make it hard to go back to generic sheet masks. A facial treatment in and of itself, each sheet goes through 21-days of fermentation and is infused with Chinese medicinal herbs like Ginseng, Centella, Jujube Fruit, Mung Bean, Chuan Xiong, Hyacinth Orchid Root, Chinese Cucumber Root, and Job’s Tears to stimulate your skin’s natural process of rejuvenation.

My skin is intensely hydrated and rejuvenated after using these masks.

I tried YINA Essential Mist

This hefty all-natural mist begins in a base of Ophiopogon Tuber Extract and American Ginseng extract and enhanced with Cordyceps, Lotus, Rose Geranium, Schisandra, Skullcap, Snow Mushroom and White Tea. If you’ve ever wanted a ginseng scent-dominant face mist, you’ll find it with YINA’s mist. This smell takes me back to childhood memories of my mom bringing me to Korean acupuncturists and traditional medicine shops in Koreatown. Compared to other natural face mists this one is juicier than most and feels very hydrating and refreshing. If you don’t like heavy bottles, be warned this one is on the heavier side even among glass packaging.

Ingredients: (Ophiopogon Tuber) Extract, l(American Ginseng) Extract, (Snow Mushroom) Extract, (Schisandra Berries) Extract, (Licorice Root) Extract, (Angelica Root) Extract, (Lotus Leaf) Extract+, (White Tea) Extract+, Rose damascena Flower Distillate*, (Helichrysum Flower) Distillate*, (Skullcap Root) Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Cordyceps militaris Mycelium Extract, Vegetable Glycerin, (Radish Root) Extract, (Rose Geranium) Oil*. Citronellol**, Linalool**, Geraniol**, Geranial**.

Yina anti pollution mask

I tried YINA Anti Pollution Mask

I looove how light, hydrating and detoxifying this mask feels. It’s made in a base organic white tea extract and removes grime, bacteria and pollution with antioxidant-rich East Asian plants of skullcap root, white peony tea, pear powder, coconut carbon, moringa and licorice.

YINA’s purifying mask is black as the night in color and non-drying (in fact it initially feels hydrating) with a strong earthy woodsy scent from Hinoki Wood and oils of pine leaf, black spruce and fir leaf. This is a luxurious mask with a sophisticated and elegant formula, worlds away from your typical purifying mask made mostly of clays.

I received a gift of the YINA essential mist and was delighted at first. 1 spritz and OUCH! YINA mist was on my eye lids and seeped down into my eyes. There was no warning about being extremely careful to avoid eye area. Not happy. And… The bottle is super heavy to boot. Very unimpressed with this product.
