Zitsticka MEGASHADE SPF Serum

ZitSticka MEGASHADE Breakout Proof SPF Serum Review

ZitSticka’s new MEGASHADE Breakout Proof SPF Serum is a chemical-mineral hybrid that offers broad-spectrum SPF 50+ protection in the form of a weightless serum with zero white cast. This sunscreen serum was formulated specifically for acne-prone, oily and sensitive skin. While it does contain some chemical UV blockers, the rest of the ingredients are clean and skin-nourishing. Read on for my ZitSticka MEGASHADE SPF Serum SPF 50 review on this exciting new sunscreen product!

What I love most about ZitSticka’s sunscreen is that it is truly transparent on skin with zero white cast. The consistency is that of a true serum, thin and liquid-like. The glass dropper packaging makes using this product feel like you are applying a luxury serum versus a sunscreen. Here is a breakdown of the pros of ZitSticka MEGASHADE:

  • No white cast
  • Serum consistency
  • Yogurt scent
  • Skincare ingredients that target concerns of pores, acne, sun damage, dark spots, and texture
  • Vegan & cruelty-free
  • Free of Phthalates, Sulfates, Parabens, Gluten, and Fragrance

If you’re avoiding chemical sunscreens, it’s important to note that besides Zinc Oxide, ZitSticka MEGASHADE does also contain Homosalate, Octinoxate and Octisalate. This is how MEGASHADE avoids the white cast effect completely. 100% mineral sunscreens will always have some level of white cast. But if you don’t mind a chemical and mineral hybrid, ZitSticka MEGSHADE is definitely a sunscreen product to look into.

ZitSticka MEGASHADE feels ultra lightweight and watery like a milky liquid. It works very well after a full skincare routine and before makeup, plus there’s zero pilling with this product. Needless to say, MEGASHADE is perfect for re-appplication (sunscreen should be re-applied every few hours).

The major downside for me is that my eyes are very sensitive to chemical sunscreens and burn if applied near them, so I’m unable to protect the skin around my eyes with the Zitsticka sunscreen, even though it’s a hybrid of chemical and physical sunscreen.

ZitSticka MEGASHADE SPF Serum costs $40 and also available on Amazon.
