Concealers, on a fundamental level, are supposed to perform, so the stakes are even higher with clean concealers. They may not perform identically to their conventional counterparts, but the natural makeup industry has become so advanced, that most clean concealers use the right amount of natural and lab-made ingredients to deliver products that work. Most 100% natural concealers with organic ingredients (no synthetics) tend to be in cream form, though a few all-natural ones are in liquid form like Fitglow Beauty.

Kosas Revealer Concealer is probably the most social media-famous out of all clean concealers. Creamy and light in formulation, the Kosas concealer provides light coverage to softly cover up blemishes while letting your skin still look like your skin. It also has an impressive number of skincare-focused ingredients, so you’re nourishing you skin while you cover up. Kosas offers their concealer in a mini size.

OG natural makeup brand RMS Beauty’s Uncoverup Concealer is a cult classic. This is a medium coverage, 100% natural concealer that’s very rich and creamy. It gives a natural almost matte finish. As the clean concealer choices have grown, the downsides of RMS’ concealer is that it’s got a high price tag of nearly $40 and contains coconut oil, which may be unsuitable for some people. I would not recommend this for acne-prone skin.

Hynt Beauty Duet Perfecting Concealer

The OG full coverage natural concealer, Hynt Beauty Duet Perfecting Concealer is a rich, dense concealer that provides amazing full coverage. The shade range is smaller than the big mass market clean beauty brands, but the formula is 100% natural and non-toxic. Hynt Beauty Concealer can cover up raging pimples, dark circles and blemishes.

Pacifica Beauty Dreamlit Glow Concealer

For a clean concealer that’s budget-friendly and under $17, I found the Pacifica Beauty Dreamlit Glow performs very similarly to the ILIA True Skin Serum Concealer, but for half the price. It gives solid medium coverage and has a lightweight formula that includes skin-forward ingredients like vegan collagen and vegan squalane.

Lily Lolo Cream Concealer

• Special Ingredients: Jojoba, sunflower seed, grape seed and argan oils

• Contains 100% natural ingredients

For an ultra-creamy, natural concealer for mature skin or dry skin, Lily Lolo Cream Concealer provides strong medium coverage while deeply moisturizing skin with oils of jojoba, organ, sunflower seed and grapeseed. It’s also on the more affordable side for clean makeup at around $20. Lily Lolo is a British brand that creates 100% natural and mineral makeup. I would not recommend this for oily skin as it’s super duper creamy even compared to other cream concealers.

Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick

• Coverage Level: Medium
• Special Ingredients: Berrylux Vita Extract, Camellia Seed Oil, Vegan Squalane
• Shades Available: 21
• Price: $68

While this is called the Vital Skin Foundation Stick, Westman Atelier calls it both a foundation and concealer stick. I find that it’s so dense that it does live up to that claim. The Westman Atelier stick can be used to spot correct as a concealer and provides solid medium coverage. It’s a creamy, rich concealer that feels moisturizing without leaning greasy and comes in 21 shades.

 

Worst Clean Concealers

Ok, hated is a strong word – technically I didn’t enjoy these concealers is what I mean. I’ll share why, and whether that piques your interest or squashes it, is up to you!

• Jones Road: maybe I’m just not used to using a concealer pencil, but the pencil did not do much for me
• Saie Beauty:  too slick, gave an oily feeling, coverage was too light
• Typology: felt on the greasy side, poor coverage, shades did not look right on me
