Kjaer Weis is a luxury, organic makeup brand known for their commitment to sustainability and quality. Founded by Danish-born, New York-based make-up artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis, the brand is renowned for its intersection of luxury and organic formulations that rival the likes of Dior.  The brand’s cosmetics are all Certified Organic or Certified Natural, which means they are free from parabens, silicones, petrochemical emulsifiers and synthetic fragrances.

 Each product comes in a sleek, refillable metal compact that is as elegant as it is eco-friendly. The packaging is designed to be refilled with the brand’s product refills, reducing waste and promoting a more sustainable approach to beauty. I really can’t think of an organic makeup brand that has prettier packaging! Westman Atelier comes close!

The range is extensive and includes everything from foundation and blush to eye shadow and lipstick. Each product is formulated with high-quality, natural ingredients that are kind to the skin and deliver impressive, long-lasting results. I tried their Lipstick

This certified organic lipstick is impossibly chic and luxuriously creamy. Kjaer Weis offers one of the best wearable shade ranges I’ve seen in clean and organic lipsticks. They give a satin finish and contain certified organic ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil, Root of Light and sustainably-sourced Shea Butter and Beeswax. Some of the shades do contain artificial colorants.

I tried their Lip Gloss

The lip gloss is also refillable, but is the heaviest lip gloss I’ve ever used.  The certified organic formula itself is creamy and moisturizing with ingredients like Sunflower Seed, Vanilla Planifolia, shea butter and Rosehip Seed Oil. It gives lips a sheer wash of color.

I tried their Eyeshadow

Kjaer Weis’ eyeshadow is so buttery and velvety with excellent pigment power. Its only downsides are how small it is compared to other clean beauty eyeshadows and that it has talc and carmine. As a brand committed to clean formulas they do have documented origin of their talc so you can be sure it’s asbestos free, but still not everyone may be comfortable using talc. Their eyeshadows do go on magnetic and have decent lasting power even when I don’t use any sort of eye primer. Some of its other notable ingredients include wild bamboo, certified organic carnauba wax and Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract.
