I’m a big fan of Currentbody’s LED Series 2 Mask so I was even more excited to have the opportunity to test their new LED Panel, which I think is their best innovation to date. I set out to test this on a pretty nasty looking scar and I can’t wait to share my 30 day results with you.

All About Currentbody’s LED Light Therapy Panel

This panel is the most versatile device in the entire Currentbody line in my opinion. It offers the full spectrum of targeted treatments. It’s got a whopping 544 LED bulbs and all four wavelengths of blue, red, near infrared and deep near-infrared at the right wavelengths.

It’s so important for the wavelengths to be accurate so they actually reach the right layers underneath the skin to achieve results. Each wavelength hits a different depth to reduce lines, firm skin, clear bacteria or target more serious signs of aging. Currentbody uses clinically proven wavelengths at the same exact strength every time for consistent coverage and power.

It’s a very flexible panel that can be wrapped around the face and used anywhere on the body using straps. It comes with a stand so you can multitask while having the panel sit across from you.

I mostly use the Anti-Aging High Mode with the stand and keep it about 6 inches away from my face. Blue light is for fighting bacteria, reducing oil and preventing future breakouts while red, near-infrared and deep near-infrared light is for collagen production, healing and wellness.

I am blown away by how functional and convenient this panel is. I keep it right by my laptop so I can work while getting in my light therapy for the day. The only inconvenience in having this incredible ability to multi-task is I have to place on one side of my laptop, so I actually I have to do one session for each side of my face.

I like using it on my neck since I don’t have a separate neck device and I either have it resting directly on me while I’m lying down, or if I’m upright, I use the straps to wrap it around my shoulders with the top leaning against my chin. I already have Currentbody’s Hair Growth helmet, but you could also wrap this over your head to use on the scalp. So basically, it’s a face, neck, scalp and body device all in one. This level of versatility is definitely a huge advantage over their LED Series 2 Mask.

I think two adjustments would make this device even more function. First, adding a clip to the back of the control, just like their Series 2 Mask, would make it more convenient to move around while using the panel on the body. Second, making the stand be extendible so it can work with standup desks and treadmills. I still place it on my treadmill desk but it’s not quite high enough to stand directly across my face.

Some extra ways I like to use this panel for my overall well-being is bringing it to the bathroom and taking showers with the lights off and red light mode on. I’ll also just have it on my nightstand, turn the lights off a little earlier and have a little meditation or podcast listening session with the red light mode on. Or when I’m sitting on my vibration plate. This really calms my nervous system and sets me up for deep sleep.

I’ve also found that it helps so much with my period cramps when I start my cycle. On the first day, when my cramps are super bad, I’ll place the panel on my lower abdomen while I work and I feel some immediate relief. They don’t completely go away but it subsides noticeably.

High mode should be used 6 inches away from skin and low mode can be used directly on skin.

For best results, it’s recommended to use 20 minutes a day 3-5 times a week.

Battery Life

When I use it on High Anti-Aging mode I get about 6 full uses before the battery needs recharging.

My 30 Day Results

To really put it to the test, I used the panel on an ugly scar that has both hypertrophic and hypootrophic tissue, meaning it’s indented in one area and raised in another. It was actually a very small scar in the beginning, but my skin has a crazy mind of its own and the scar tissue just kept getting growing and growing over the years. Anyways, I was extremely diligent about testing the high mode for 30 days and I do feel like the scar has softened and evened out a bit. Of course, I’m not stopping now. I’ll be using and updating at the 60 day and 90 day mark.
