They don’t market themselves as clean beauty but they are much better than most conventional formulations.

BIBA The Meta C Serum

If you find that the super high concentrations of L Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C serums don’t vibe well with your skin, Biba de Sousa formulated her Meta C Serum specially for you. Instead, she chose to combine three different Vitamin C types (L-Ascorbic acid, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, and Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) at lower percentages that work powerfully together.

Biba Meta C Serum also contains collagen peptides to add hydration to the skin along with a preservative derived from the radishes fermented with Leuconstoc Kimchii  which have anti-microbial advantages.

This is a thicker Vitamin C Serum that still sinks in well since it’s water based. It has a distinct vanilla aroma due to the addition of vanilla, so you’ll either love it or hate it. Even though I find it odd in skincare, I do love vanilla perfumes so it’s not a dealbreaker for me.

The Vitamin C percentages are described as being lower but the exact % isn’t disclosed. Still, I can feel this serum working on my skin just like any other 30% Vitamin C serum, so no compromises were made here.

BIBA Lip Treatment

Biba Los Angeles’ clear, tasteless and scent-free Lip Treatment works as both a lip balm and overnight lip mask. It’s amped up with actives like peptides, amino acids and squalene and begins in a hydrogenated polyisobutene base. I would have preferred an oil or butter as the base but appreciate the advanced actives included. It’s just very expensive for such a small tube of 7 grams.
