I recently had the opportunity to try Brad Pitt’s skincare line Beau Domaine, Blake Lively’s Blake Brown, Jennifer Aniston’s Lolavie, Winnie Harlow’s Cay Skin and more. As always, I’m sharing my brutally honest opinions of each. You might have heard of Rhode’s recent billion dollar acquisition, which I’m sure has inspired celebs worldwide (who haven’t already) to launch their own brands. Naturally you can expect me to keep this post updated with all the newest launches as they come.

I tried Brad Pitt’s Beau Domaine
I can actually picture Brad Pitt using his line, while I highly doubt Blake Lively is using hers, and most importantly, it’s super clean and natural. Beau Domaine is science-backed luxury skincare that combines biotechnology and plant actives. It draws on 20 years of research and two patented actives that target the mechanisms responsible for skin aging. I love that organic grape water is the first ingredient in all their products and they combine their advanced actives with hyaluronic acid in different weights, niacinamide and green chiretta.
The Cleansing Emulsion is a light, serum-like cleanser that feels very hydrating and soothing. I find it to be very gentle and it doesn’t strip my skin at all. The Serum is also pleasantly lightweight with a fluid consistency that sinks in and absorbs immediately. It’s got a subtle plumping effect from the effective hydration it provides and has various hyaluronic acid weights and botanical extracts to boost antioxidant protection.

I tried Jennifer Aniston’s Lolavie
I actually reviewed most of Lolavie’s hair products and was surprised at how much I enjoyed her line. In fact, I’m currently trying out the Intensive Repair Treatment since my hair is particularly dry this summer. It’s a once a week 10 minute bond repair treatment specifically formulated for chemically damaged hair (moi!) so we’ll see how that goes. Lolavie is free from silicones, sulfates (SLS/SLES), parabens, phthalates, and gluten and is Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free. They’re not a 100% natural and non-toxic line but I would consider them much cleaner than conventional.

I tried Blake Lively’s Blake Brown
I actually subscribe to Blake’s haircare philosophy of not using conditioner, in that I would rather use a hair mask too. Conditioners do feel like a watered down version of a hair mask to me. Her products are only sold at Target and are vegan, cruelty-free and formulated without SLS/SLES, silicones, phthalates, parabens, synthetic dyes, and mineral oil. I tried her Wild Nectar Santal products and they really do smell divine but rather synthetic to me because I’m privy to all-natural perfumes. It’s definitely very fruity and sweet at first, but there’s a woodsy undercurrent that grounds all the notes. I was surprised at how lightweight and cheap looking the packaging is, but I guess it makes sense for the price point. On the plus side, they’re really easy to hold and carry.

I tried Winnie Harlow’s Cay Skin
I love a good sunscreen and Winnie Harlow’s Cay Skin may not be true clean beauty in my book, but I think she did a great job at putting out quality products. I also love what she stands for – inclusive beauty and self-acceptance. The line is Silicone & Paraben-free, Fragrance Free, Free of Oxybenzone and Octinoxate, Vegan, Cruelty Free, and Safe for sensitive skin. Some products use chemical filters and others use physical filters like zinc oxide, but all of them are infused with nourishing botanicals like lentil fruit extract, apple fruit extract, sea moss and nude pearl. I find her products easy and enjoyable to use – no complaints here. The Isle Glow Body Lotion SPF 45 is so lightweight and has absolutely no shimmer to it. It goes on super sheer and spreads and absorbs like a dream. I can’t detect any scent except a very slight sunscreen smell.
